Mi Rancho The Woodlands/Gosling: Reviews & Ratings
Wow, I’m so happy we have another Mi Rancho, location! It’s easy to get to, the vibe and decor is out of this world. As for food and drinks, it’s delicious as always! (The have a nugget ice machine!!!!!!!) There’s handmade tortillas, you can definitely tell because they’re sooooo fluffy and delicious!! The staff is very attentive, with it only being the soft opening you can really tell they really took the time to pick and train the staff very well! If you haven’t already, I highly recommend checking this location out, 10/10 worth it!!
We’ve been here 3 times since they’ve opened. Has become our favorite place to eat. Fajita beef meat is tinder not chewy and a great flavor. Salsa is warm and tastes wonderful. Service has been perfect each time. Our server was Joseph this time and he went the extra mile to make sure we were taken care of the whole time. I highly recommend! I’m genuine when I say I believe this is the best Mexican restaurant in town.
Very good review. Large parking lot, easy to access, normal traffic patterns easy to get to. Very large impressive inside dinning area. I did not notice an outdoor area, but that does not matter to me. TV's in viewable places, noise level average. Bar area a bit small, but clean and available. Food was very delicious. The chips and queso was hot and fresh. The salsa was good. I would say it was on the mild side. Some like hot others like mild so each opinion will be different. The place was very clean, very big and very new, it had just recently opened. Service and menus were good. Waitress seemed attentive, polite, well spoken. She did an excellent job. The bonus was Santa being there. Such a delight to see. My best description would be like a higher class Gringo's. They did a fantastic job. Since it's near by I'll absolutely be back to try different menu items. Congratulations to owners, cooks, staff for a well deserved 5 star. -Local guide Joseph.
Mi Rancho just leveled up the dining scene in The Woodlands with this brand-new Gosling location. From the moment my husband and I walked in, we could feel the vibe: bold décor, festive lighting, and that perfect mix of energy, let’s cover all our bases: Let’s talk service: Our waiter, Jon, was the MVP of the night. He was incredibly attentive the kind of server who’s already two steps ahead of you without hovering like a helicopter mom. He knew the menu and came through with his customer service. Drinks The margarita lychee martini was a whole production, absolutely gorgeous presentation with the orchid garnish and the flavor to back it up. This wasn’t just a drink; it was a moment. Food Highlights: I ordered the Steak de Rancho juicy, full of flavor, perfectly seasoned. My husband went with the Ribeye Tacos loaded with tender meat, fresh avocado, and cilantro. He barely looked up from his plate… which is basically a 10/10 review in hubby language. Dessert Strategy: We closed the evening with churros & sopapillas. Crispy, warm, drizzled with cinnamon sugar and just the right amount of sweetness. Bottom line: Mi Rancho on Gosling is delivering a top-tier dining experience, great atmosphere, incredible service, and food that leaves you planning your next visit before you’ve even paid the check. They’re not just hitting the mark… they’re raising the bar for Tex-Mex in The Woodlands. Highly recommend & ask for Jon.
Family of four — we had a great dinner and excellent service! I ordered the Tampiqueña (skirt steak with an enchilada) and it was delicious. My husband had the Don Juan entrée with chicken and bacon-wrapped shrimp — super tasty! The homemade flour tortillas were a great touch. Our son had the beef fajita kids’ burrito and said it was the best burrito he’s ever had. Churros for dessert- daughter approved! We’re so excited this location opened and can’t wait to become regulars! Our waitress, Alondra, was wonderful.
We are here for the soft opening and we highly recommend a visit for great Mexican food and cocktails.. and our waiter Chris if you like excellent service. The build out is beautiful and the booths are comfortable. Try the chunky guacamole appetizer which is so fresh and delicious w/lettuce and it tastes like a squeeze of lime. We’ll definitely get this again. I wish I got a picture before we so eagerly got into it lol, but maybe the picture still shows well. I got a skinny margarita w/Don Julio tequila and Grand Marnier. See it with the orchid. Love. My dinner was the tamales, with a side of fresh onions, very good and my husband got the Steak de Rancho which he said was awesome, and it looked it. We ordered churros for desert and flan which was recommended by Chris .. and the flan especially was amazing. We’ll be back. Service is important to us, so we appreciate Chris and will be asking him.
We came here for lunch on a Friday afternoon and had a great time. The inside is beautiful and we sat at the bar. The two bartenders took great care of us and made sure we had everything we needed. I ordered the Tampiqueña and my friend ordered a burrito both were delicious with our drinks on the side. We also had to make sure we ordered the sopapillas for dessert.
We have previously tried another location and remembered the margaritas were good . Well I will say this location blew us away. Francisco was our waiter - hospitality , great recommendations , and so friendly . He recommended the tower . Those flavors are amazing, pretty, and worth every penny ! I decided to try the fried avocado dish with beef fajitas ! THE FLAVORS WERE AMAZING. The cheese was melted perfectly . Lunch specials from 11-3 M-F with big portions and drinks specials M-F 2-6. So glad it’s so close !
